It seems that the sprint to the end of the year is on. Spring is here and projects are now starting to have 2011 timeframes in them.

It does mean though that now is an ideal time to review your 2010 Marketing activities and have a plan of what to do for the rest of the year and then into 2011.

What have you achieved so far from your 2010 Marketing Plan? Do you need to make an additions or deletions? Drop me a line to have a chat about how Next Marketing can help.

Advertising and Blogging

Advertising and Blogging

One of the blogs that I regularly read has recently posted some ‘sponsored blogs from Nuffnang’. Being curious about what 'Nuffnang' was, I investigated and to my Marketing delight, Nuffnang is a company that links businesses/advertisers with bloggers. What a great idea!

Is linking up with a blogger a good idea for your business?  In short, I think yes!  Bloggers are similiar to journalists in many ways.  They write reviews and post comments on products and services and have an audience that reads/follows what they do.  By sponsoring a blogger to review your product for example, you are exposing your business to their audience.  An audience of potential customers.

Whilst I haven’t yet run a project with Nuffnang, I highly recommend investigating it (especially if you are a B2C business) for your 2010 Marketing Plan.

Journalism Warning Labels

Journalism Warning Labels

Speaking of Journalists and PR, as a business owner and marketer, I am always on the look for PR opportunities for Next Marketing and my clients.

So perhaps it seems a bit strange for me to highlight this concept, but it made me smile :)

So here you have it, a light hearted  labeling system for sloppy journalism and other questionable content!

Style Guide for your Logo

Style Guide for your Logo

Do you have style guide for your logo?

Whenever we develop new logos at Next Marketing, we always encourage clients to have a Style Guide developed as part of the project.   They come in handy (amoungst other things) when external parties are putting together ads etc…   I recently used the Next Marketing one for the advertisment I placed in B&T magazine, it made briefing their internal design team very easy.

Drop us a line if you would like to discuss how we could develop one for your business.

Need to update your forms?

Need to update your forms?

Having internal procedures and forms is one of the necessary evils of doing business.

From a Marketing perspective though, having engaging forms or surveys that a customer completes is another concept all together.

For an example of a form that I thought was very ‘customer friendly’ and provided some great tips – click here. (scroll down to middle of page)
